When Fuki was only six years old, her mother left the island for Tokyo. Her mother promised to write letters and return to the island as soon as she could. However, eight years pass and although the letters from her mother still come, Fuki becomes impatient as to when her mother can return home.
After graduating from High School, Fuki takes a job as a photographers assistant in Tokyo. Part of her takes the job not only because of her dream of becoming a photographer, but also for the possibility that she might be able to meet her mother, whom she hasn't seen for 12 years.
