They say true friends 'll keep in touch. However, over distance, friends can fade. Ive only been away a year, but in that year, even though we email often, I feel Ive lost touch with my friends in England, mainly cos I cant share the life they lead, I can talk about daily stuff with them, such as TV, music, films, as I dont know about it. Therefore, Ill have to catch up in December.

How many of the people I know, and have come to love in Japan will actualy keep in touch beyond the first welcome home email? Out of sight, out of mind I feel.
