It wasnt just me, was it?
The Thames Festival was dull this year, wasnt it?
Or was it just the last time I went (2003) I was easily excitable?
There was nothing there! Other than the thousands of stalls selling bongo drums and beaded necklaces... oh, and dont forget the food stalls selling... thai, oriental, mexican or hot dogs. What ever happened to the entertainment? I look in the guide book which totally baffled me, as there looked to be lots going on...just nothing of excitement. When I got to the "Duke Box" it was 'OUT OF ORDER'... What happened to jolly singing or a show or dancing or ... a stage of any form or kind with ENTERTAINMENT on?!
At least in Japan you can get Baby Castella or Yakisoba or live fish or those squid things or sweet potato or chocolate coated bananas... things that made you want to eat even though you werent hungry. The food at the Thames Festival was dire. I just felt as though I was being ripped off everywhere I looked ... food, entertainment...
Did have a nice walk though.
The Japanese photo display was nice too.
As was the weather.
I wont be going next year unless they do... TANABATA!

Hi Nick - I start Uni late due to work and holidays.. I dont start until the end of October when I have to play catch up :(
