Thames Festival 2006's choice of Japanese Festival...

The Thames Festival in September every year is one of my favourite London festivals :)

In 2002, they performed the Nebuta Festival from Aomori, Northern Japan.
In 2004, they performed the Kantou Festival from Akita, Northern Japan. view clip.
In 2005, they Sonda Eisa dancers from Okinawa, southern Japan performed. view clip.

...What can I look forward to in 2006?? :)
In 2006, Tomyo festival, from Fukuoka, Kyushu, southern Japan.^^
Over 36,000 lanterns will light up the Thames.

Not as exciting as previous years then...
But, hey, I'll take a look!

The festival is taking place on the 16th and 17th of September.
