Japanese Imperial Wedding

Japan's Princess Sayako has married a commoner - Mr. Yoshiki Kuroda, who once was a aristrocrat before the system got abolished. Theyve been friends since childhood, but only recently became a 'couple.' As he is a commoner, it means that Sayako has to leave the Imperial Family. But, obviously, she can never be a 'normal' person.

The wedding itself took place in Tokyo, and I was surprised to read the wedding meal was a : "French-style menu including lobster and caviar jelly and caramel-vanilla sorbet with chestnut creme brulee" She also wore a long white Western style wedding dress.
...So much for the Japanese Imperial Wedding being....well, ...Japanese... !!
Seems it was anything but.. >_<






















What is it with her hair though? >_<
