new room

Dont think i should mention the company who let out my room to me by name, but just to say, be careful if you book a room at a gaijin house.

Mine is falling to pieces, and so dirty I couldnt believe! Somebody was living in the room 2 days before I moved in, and yet cobwebs, grime on floor, god knows what that stain is on the wall, fridge being held together by selotape, TV... a TV that you cant get reception, unless you go boss-eyed of course, then the reception is fine!, a window that isnt a window, a piece of clear plastic covering a hole in the wall, held in place by pins and silver foil. I had to sign an agreement before coming, saying id clean the room before I left. Even if the other guy got charged for not cleaning the place, why should it be MY responsibility to clean up HIS mess? (I know it was a guy living there before. A Canadian. Boy, are Canadians giving me a crap example of their country..!)

For 53,000 a month, I know Im being ripped off. Can get a whole studio flat that nearer to tokyo for the same price. But, as Im only here for a year, I didnt really want to furnish it.

long shot, but any females in Itabashi-ku, Ikebukuro, or IDEALLY, on the Tobu Tojo line looking for a share-mate?

haha! saw a room in kami itabashi the other day. 30 quid cheaper, but had to pay for laundry and shower - 100yen for 10mns. tatami flooring was disgusting and lighting bad. people there very friendly, but at end of day, maybe my room aint so bad...!

well, i guess its a common hotel trick - take the picture when its new and clean, and make it look big and spacious. However, 10 years on, rooms change, and I dont think my room has been cleaned since the photo was taken...
