長瀞

Nagatoro in Saitama is trying to attact foreign tourists. I can understand why, its a lovely place and not too hard to get to from Tokyo. In order to do so, NHK reports that they have published multilingual documents to ease communication between locals and foreign visitors. However, who did the translating for this booklet...? Not only are there very Japanese-esque phases such as 'Where is the spot of my current location?', but the actual translations themselves don't always match.... For example, 「おすすめを教えてください」 ('What do you recommend?') is translated in English as 'Do you have any Nagatoro maps for foreigners?'. Surely that will create a bit of confusion... ?? I wonder what the Chinese and Korean translation says. :)
