Day 1 at work was nice. The people there seem friendly enough, the work seems interesting, lots of music, film and TV related stuff. Theres not as much layout design stuff as I had've hoped, but beggars can't be choosers. As I thought, nobody can speak English.... Which is definately a plus for me. However, for strange reasons that can probably be put down to it being my first day, I found myself struggling with design ideas more than Japanese skills. Nerves...
Tomorrow after work, I have to go to an Illustrator's Gallery First Night Opening with them, one of their clients. The gallery looks interesting. He is a French illustrator, but his designs are very Japanese.
However, the big but is the Fukutoshin line. I was so happy to hear it would be open in time for when I started work, but... it runs a bit like London Transport.... Also, because so many trains use the same line now (Tobu Tojo line, Yurakucho line, Seibu Ikebukuro line, Fukutoshin line), and also because the Yurakucho line has started a Express train service... theres not many trains I can actually board to get home. I reckon that the opening of the Fukutoshin line has definately made lots of peoples journey's home longer.
Ah well.
Day 1 over. On with day 2 :)
