Eagle-turn-bat-turn-human-turn-cockatiel-turn...

There is a conspiracy going on around here.
A conspiracy to make me use the hoover.

My small feathery friend not only thinks he is an eagle turning into a bat, but he also adores the sound of the hoover. And I think he has figured... If he makes as much mess as possible, there is a greater chance that I'll opt for the hoover. So what does he do? I caught him today clearly picking up a seed, eating it, going over to the side of the cage and chucking the shell with all of his might out of the cage and onto the floor. ...5 times. Just so he can blissfully sing at the top of his voice when the hoover is on. Cheeky chappy.

He also likes to hide behind the curtain and do fire engine noises, fire alarm noises (obviously obsessed with fire), wolf whistles and freaky laughing noises all at the top of his voice... but he thinks no one can hear. When he suddenly hears us talk or make a noise, he suddenly comes rushing out from behind the curtain, destroying everything in his path and flying directly for your forehead. He only swerves at the last second. (He's been practising this move for a while. At first he wasnt so good - he would bash into your ear or bump into your hair. He's perfected it now. --this is the eagle instinct in him.) Cats dont scare him either. He sings blissfully while the cats outside, all in clear view, lick their lips and stare... Yummy...

He also likes hanging upside down from his perch for minutes on end, holding on with his feet for dear life. God knows why or what he gets out of it. Its the bat instinct in him.

Big attitude bird.^^
