Cone Guilt

To most normal people, the above picture is of a traffic cone. A few normal things that might come to mind might be roadworks, delays, cars, driving, safety, direction... Because of University, I am now abnormal.

Every time I see a traffic cone, I ask myself strange things like "Do I need to take a photograph of it?", "Is it abandoned?", "Has it been vandalised?", "Can I steal it?", "Is it a normal traffic cone?", "What are the surroundings like?"... I feel guilty if I pass a traffic cone without actually doing anything.

Its not only the real thing that haunts me. It's people wearing orange too. Are they wearing orange to look like a traffic cone?

Anyway, apart from turning me into a traffic cone freak, I feel better today about the whole Uni thing. After talking to some other students it seems that they also do not feel that this course is 'Graphic' enough. It is mainly to do with the teachers (apart from one), being interested more in Design or Modern Art than Graphic Design. I'm not the only one then, huh? :)

Today Uni felt like College. It made me wonder what my classmates at College are up to now. Especially one girl who set up her own Graphic Design company in Sicily. I miss college.

(One of my projects at University was about traffic cones. It was the evil group project, which, thankfully (and finally) gets handed in all complete (after changing direction 10 times) on Friday. Fingers crossed for a pass. If I fail.... I cannot be responsible for what I may do to any traffic cones within my reach....) ^^
