Whoa...!?

Dont askI went to University today, as per usual. Only the overline trains were delayed due to an earlier accident, so I decided to take the tube. Surprisingly, I realised that I havent really used the tube for a while now. I passed the barriers as usual and went down the escalator. The classical music blaring out of the station speakers were meant to calm me. Apparantely this station won an award for efficiency. I can never work that one out. All the other stations must have been really bad. Either that or the judge had a soft spot for classical music >_<

I wonder down the half deserted platform waiting for the train. I wonder if I'm going to be late. The tanoy starts saying something. I half listen. I'm thinking about traffic cones. For some reason the tanoy suddenly grabs my attention... the guy thats speaking... he's speaking Spanish?! Huh?! I look around me, yup, I'm still in London... People are acting normally... Its not even as if there is a huge Spanish population in this area. Why is he speaking in Spanish?! Maybe thats why they won an award. The staff are multilingual.

Confused, I keep listening. The man stops speaking and a different voice appears... speaking French. Must be a new thing I thought. After all, trains from the airport stop here, so maybe its just trying to welcome (or warn) people.

I laugh to myself. European languages are one thing, will they speak any other languages? ...Japanese, for example...

I look around with an unbelieving smile as the tanoy starts speaking yet another language. Haha! Yup, my station now speaks Japanese to me as I wait for a train. :) I was too stunned to properly listen to what he was saying....

...Damn, I've got to get the tube more....! >_<
