It's going really well thanks, there are about 30 people doing Japanese. But we are split into smaller classes. We have 3 different native Japanese teachers who are really good :)
At the university theres loads of chinese people and also around 15 Japanese. All the people interested in japan and the japanese people go to the pub every thursday night :)
At the moment we are working through the Genki Japanese book 1 and the Basic Kanji for beginners book, the pace of learning is quite good. Im glad i learned some japanese before starting as it gives me a bit of an advantage :) (the course assumes you are a total beginner)
Anyway, really looking forward to year 3 in japan :)

You're course sounds good :) Damn, maybe I shouldve taken another course, but I'm not brave enough to have a career change! Good luck with it :)
I havent ever used the GENKI series, but I've heard they are really good.
