Is a classic example - never judge a book by its cover. (...never judge a film by its poster.)The poster doesnt really urge you to go see it, but its the best movie I've seen for a loong time..! I didnt know what to expect, and for the first part of the movie I was a tad confused, but this movie earns its brilliantness, unlike the current James Bond movie "Casino Royale.
Set in late 1800's England, the story is about 2 magicians. Once friends, a terrible accident (...or was it?) turns their friendship into something else. Now rivals they will do anything to stop the other getting the best trick. But, are their lives all they seem to be?

its not really a film that appeals to me, but ill rent it when comes out. Didnt like james bond? wai?
I loved The Prestige; Christian Bale really is one of the best actors out there at the momnt. But I also loved Casino Royale; that's how Bond should be in my opinion.
Why did you not enjoy it?
