Downtown (ダウンタウン) is a popular Japanese comic duo who are as well-known for their stand-up act as their presentating skills for various variety shows. (One being HEY! HEY! HEY! Music Champ.) They have even been in TV dramas, movies and released songs. (I dread to think..)It is often said that due to Downtown huge popularity, the Kansai dialect has come to be associated with Japanese comedy as a whole.
Here is Ma-cchan (Matsumoto Hitoshi) talking to fellow Downtown-er Hama-chan (Hamada Masatoshi) about a scary story that left him spooked. ...Left me spooked too...!

@M_X - Im sorry, I dont know :( you can always check out d-addicts, they sometimes do shows with english subtitles. I'll keep a look out and post here or email you if I find anything :-)
@Anonymous - Downtown have a show called ガキの使いやあらへんで "Gaki no tsukai ya arahen de". they also present hey! hey! hey! music champ. I dont know about any other shows, but Im sure they do more than this!
thanks. i tried doing a search for them on google, but... searching for 'downtown' isnt so great.. you get lots of american websites about new york etc... !!
