a 'me' day

I was a bit selfish yesterday and made my friends do lots of Japanese things... ^^ It was great fun though, I think they liked it too, releasing lots of work-related stress in karaoke and then tucking into my comfort food - Japanese Vegetable Curry...^^

Dai Karaoke in Soho is the only place I know of that does Japanese style Karaoke boxes. It has a selection of both English and Japanese songs. A tip - pick your English songs from the Japanese song book, then you get a tacky video as you sing^^ I sang 'Feel my soul' by YUI - argh! The karaoke video for that is really offputting - its some fat Japanese woman getting married and headbutting people, then another woman doing her washing... huh? ^^
