Yay, its friday I think as I wake up. Almost the weekend!! :-) Head to work, get on a train, pick up a Metro to see ... "WIN A TRIP TO TOKYO." ... ... Look at the picture. I feel strange. I do want to live there again, but yesterday I decided to give up and get on with my life. But I looked at the picture again. I stuffed the paper in my bag and decided to pretend to sleep instead. It involves less tugging of the heart strings.
But then the man next to me gets off and leaves behind a newspaper. The Independant. I grab it, I need to read something. Disappointed, I find its yesterdays newspaper. But then I see the UCAS clearing listing pages. What is it with today?! I take a look out of curiousity. Places left in quite a few London Uni's in Graphic Design BA Degree. I can even double it up with a TESOL qualification. At work I daydream while working. My mind is elsewhere (as per usual at work!). At lunch I make some phone calls with a mixed response.
I go home. My road is cordoned off and police cars and CIA swarm the street. A tent is put up directly opposite my house. There's been a fatal stabbing. Nice to know I live in such a nice area!
I go out again to meet a friend. On the train a beautiful sunset greets me. So, I cant go to Japan, the land of the rising sun. Maybe England is the land of the setting sun. Maybe not so romantic but hey, cant have everything!
I finally end up at home again and open my post. I have a letter from a friend in Tokyo.
「ぜったいにLondonへ行きます。たくさんためて・・・
カレンもまたTokyoへ来てください。」
"I'm definatley going to come to London. Just gotta save...
Karen, you come to Tokyo again too, yeah!?"
Ah, what the hell.
By doing a degree in Graphic Design it will open up opportunities in Japan. Those opportunities may never amount to anything, I still might never go to Japan to live again. I might study and then still get a crappy job in London. But, at least I've tried.

In short, yep, I'm going to Uni (if I can get in). Finally decided! ///maybe/// >_<

OH, just looking around for teaching jobs in other countries, looking at my options after HK. Japan seems more competitive than China, China looks more like my best bet. Just got to get started on those Mandarin lessons now!
OH, and good luck with everything if your decision is still the same. (good luck even if its different) but going to Uni can never be wrong. You might get broke, but you wont regret it!

Work... well... it is a problem. What do you mean? Work when in Uni or work now? Work now - if I get the place in Uni, theres not much they can do - I'll work until i have to go. Could be a problem if its less than a month. As for work in Uni, I'll have to find something as I'm used to not being broke now, buying the things I like etc, but thats gonna fall away pretty quick! If I thought work was hard, Uni is gonna be a wake up call...
